DeelSignal, Inc. ("DeelSignal", "we", "our") operates a deal management and intelligence platform for fund managers and investors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our platform at deelsignal.com.

By using DeelSignal, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you are using DeelSignal on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to this policy.

Account information: Name, email address, job title, and organization name provided when you create an account.

Workspace data: Deal records, company information, contact details, notes, documents, and other content you add to your workspace.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, button clicks, and other interaction data used to improve the product.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, and cookies required for authentication and security.

Communications: Emails and messages you send to our support team.

We do not collect payment card data directly — all billing is handled by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.

We use the information we collect to:

- Provide and improve the platform — operate the service, debug issues, and ship new features based on usage patterns. - Authenticate and secure accounts — verify identity, prevent unauthorized access, and detect abuse. - Send product communications — account notifications, security alerts, and product updates. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time. - Provide customer support — understand and resolve issues you report. - Meet legal obligations — respond to lawful requests and comply with applicable regulations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your deal data for benchmarking, research, or any purpose outside of operating your account.

We share data only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We use third-party vendors (AWS for hosting, Stripe for billing, Resend for email delivery) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.

Your organization: Within your workspace, data is accessible to workspace members according to their assigned role and permissions.

Legal requirements: We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of DeelSignal and its users.

Business transfers: If DeelSignal is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this occurs.

We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics companies for commercial purposes.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription:

- You have 30 days to export your data via the Settings > Export page. - After 30 days, your workspace data is permanently deleted from our systems. - Backup copies are purged within 90 days of account closure. - Audit logs and billing records may be retained for up to 7 years to meet legal and accounting obligations.

You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing privacy@deelsignal.com.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

Deletion: Request erasure of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).

Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Objection: Object to certain processing activities, including direct marketing.

GDPR (EU/UK residents): You have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. DeelSignal acts as a data processor for workspace content and a data controller for account data. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@deelsignal.com.

CCPA (California residents): California residents may request disclosure of personal information categories collected and opt out of sale (we do not sell personal data).

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for:

Authentication: Session cookies to keep you logged in securely.

Security: CSRF tokens and other cookies that protect against attacks.

Preferences: Cookies that remember your UI settings and workspace selections.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling certain cookies will prevent the platform from functioning correctly.

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access controls, and annual SOC 2 Type II audits. See our Security page for full details.

No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to security@deelsignal.com.
